Bonjour, mon pseudo est Coffeshere et j’ai 25 ans. Je travaille actuellement comme artiste concepteur et designer de personnage pour des courts métrages et des jeux. Je conçois aussi des robes Lolita en tant qu’indépendant. J’ai travaillé pour POP Princess (https://www.facebook.com/lepopprincess?fref=ts) à deux reprises pour les modèles : Starry Garden et Bright Star. J’ai aussi travaillé pour Sweet Addiction (https://www.facebook.com/sweet.addiction.store?fref=ts ) pour le model Chocolate Party. Actuellement, je fais des motifs pour moi afin de les vendre sur Spoonflower.

• Vivez-vous de vos créations ? Si oui, depuis quand ? Sinon, quel est votre travail ?

Je dessine et peins pour vivre mais mes illustrations et articles malheureusement ne suffisent pas. Concernant mon travail principale, je crée des concepts et personnages pour des films et jeux dans mon ancienne université mais aussi pour une entreprise de jeux vidéo indépendante. J’aime vraiment énormément mon travail mais j’espère pouvoir vivre de mes projets personnel et de mon art dans le future <3

•  Quels sont vos passe-temps et passions ?

Quel sont mes passes temps? Haha, pour le moment je m’investis tellement dans mon travail que tout ce que je fais c’est dessiner et essayer de m’améliorer. Je suis vraiment heureuse avec cela ! <3 Mais j’ai pour habitude de coudre des vêtements, jouer aux jeux vidéo et créer de petites choses pour mes poupées. Concernant ma passion et bien, c’est l’illustration, essayer de dessiner tout ce que j‘ai en tête et me rends heureuse.

• Que représente pour vous le lolita pour vous? Le lifestyle?

A cause de mon travail et pour des raisons personnelles le Lolita est entrain de sortir progressivement de ma vie. Il m’est maintenant difficile de trouver des occasions où je peux le porter et sortir avec mes amis lolita. Mais indépendamment de cela, je le garde dans mon cœur et dans mon art. Je l’aime vraiment beaucoup et j’essayerai de sauver du mieux que je peux de ce style.

• Quels sont vos thés préférés ? Vos pâtisseries ou desserts favoris ?

Ahh! Quelle question! Humm, à boire seul j’adore le thé (chai). Pour accompagner une pâtisserie se serait du thé pu-erh.  Et pour les bonbons, j’aime les bonbons, tous… Donnez les moi <3  

• Portez-vous le lolita au quotidien ? Quand avez-vous commencé à le porter ? Avez-vous une anecdote ou un souvenir particulier à ce sujet ? Comment avez-vous connu cette mode ?

Dans mon dernier travail et ma dernière année d’étude j’avais l’habitude de m’habiller une à deux fois par semaine en lolita. Maintenant, je le fais seulement lorsque je sors avec mes amies lolitas. Humm, un Souvenir spécial … Je dirais que c’était l’année dernière lors du weekend lolita parce que je m’y suis rendu en tant que model pour Pop Princess avec la robe Annie (design de Pop Princesse) que j’ai dessiné. C’était vraiment magique et j’ai eu beaucoup de compliments sur mon travail.

Je ne peux pas situer le moment exact où j’ai rencontré ce style. J’ai juste été soudainement submergé de pleins d’inspiration et de désir d’avoir une robe. C’est alors qu’un ami illustrateur (Gabi Barba, allez voir son travail !) qui est Lolita m’a accueilli dans la communauté.

• Comment décririez-vous votre robe parfaite?

Tout de suite, je voudrais qu’elle soit fraiche et élégante pour travailler! Avec par exemple du coton dans le style Mary Magdalene.

• A propos de vos créations : Quand avez-vous créé votre marque ? Quelles ont été vos motivations ? Pourquoi avoir choisi ce nom  ? 

J’ai toujours aimé dessiner et grâce à cela je me suis inscrit sur des pages d’art comme deviantart. Ma passion est donc devenu mon travail <3 Mon nom est une abréviation pour « le café est prêt ». Parce que j’aime le café plus que tout mais je ne peux plus en boire à cause de mon foi. J’aime à quel point c’est devenu ironique.

• Quelles sont vos principales inspirations ?

J’essaye de la trouver partout, de choses banales aux stupéfiantes que je vie en voyageant. Je crois que l’inspiration est partout il faut juste regarder de plus prêt. J’ai aussi une page d’inspiration sur tumblr où je poste de belles choses. (mitonable.tumblr.com)

• Quels sont vos buts, vos souhaits pour vos créations ?

J’ai tellement de vœux dans l’immédiat. Je souhaite devenir un meilleur artiste textile pour lolita, une meilleure conceptrice, être une mangaka et être globalement une meilleure artiste. J’espère pouvoir tous les accomplir. Concernant le Lolita, je travaille actuellement sur mes propres modèles pour les vendre sue spoonflower mais je souhaite tout de même travailler avec plus de designers, j’aime expérimenter des thèmes et styles différents donc travailler pour d’autres marques m’intéresse vraiment ! J’aimerais faire plus d’illustration pour un magazine ou pour un blog lolita, il y a tellement d’option ! J’ai beaucoup de travail <3

•  Comment créez-vous ? Combien de temps vous faut-il ?

Et bien, je réalise des tonnes de croquis d’idées qui sortent de mon imagination. Après cela certains survive et pour être coloré. Lorsque c’est une illustration cela me prend généralement 6 heures. Et lorsque c’est une commission cela me prend plus de temps, quelques-unes par mois en fonction de la complexité de l’ouvrage et du suivie avec le client.

•  Quels sont vos prochains événements? (En tant que lolita? Créatrice?)

J’espère pouvoir me rendre à la prochaine convention de Comics et Animer: Concomics en décembre dans ma ville. Je présenterais un manga que je fais revivre de ses cendres avec l’un de mes amis. Ce mange s’intitule Cappuccino et il est vraiment amusant.

•  Un dernier mot pour les lolitas de la East Tea Party ?

Hello my artist name is Coffeshere and I’m 25 years old. Right now I work as a concept artist and character designer for short films and games. I also do fabric design for Lolita fashion as a freelancer. I have worked for Pop Princess (https://www.facebook.com/lepopprincess?fref=ts) twice doing Starry Garden and Bright Star. Also I have worked for Sweet Addiction (https://www.facebook.com/sweet.addiction.store?fref=ts ) with the Sweetest Chocolate Party. And right now I’m Doing designs of my own to sell on spoonflower.

•  Are your creations what you do for a living? If yes, since when? If not, what is your main job?

I draw and paint for a living but my personal stuff and illustrations sadly, aren’t enough. For my main job I create concept art and character design for films and games in my former University and for an indie game company. I really, really love my work but I hope I can live from my personal projects and art in the future <3

•  What are your hobbies, your passion?

 I kind of used to have hobbies? Haha, right now I’m so invested in work that all I do is draw and trying to get better. And I’m really happy with that! <3 But I used to sew clothes, play games and create small stuff for my dolls. And my passion well, is illustration trying to draw anything that comes into my mind and makes me happy.

• What is the Lolita for you? Lifestyle?

Because of work and personal issues Lolita is kind of fading away from     my life. Now is harder to find occasions where I can wear my clothes and go out with my Lolita community. But regardless of that I still have it in my heart and in my artwork. I just really love it and I will try to rescue whatever I can from it.

• What’s your favorite tea? Your cake and sweet?

 Ahh! What a difficult question! Hmmm, to drink alone I love chai. To go along with a sweet it would be pu-erh tea. And for sweets I love sweets, just any, give them to me <3

 

• Do you dress as a Lolita daily? When do you dress like it for the first time? Do you have some special memory or anecdote? How did you know that fashion?

In my last work and my last year as a student I used to dress it at least once or twice a week. Now only when I go out with my Lolita friends. Hmm, special memory. I’d say it would be last year at the Lolita Weekend of My Lolita Style because I got to be the model for Pop Princess with the print Annie (Pop Princess designer) and I designed. It was really magical and I received lots of lovely feedback for our work. 

I can’t recall the exact moment I meet the fashion. Just somehow I was suddenly full of images and the desire to own one dress. Then an illustrator friend (Gabi Barba check out her work!) who is a Lolita welcomed me to the community.

• Describe your perfect dress?

Right now, something elegant and fresh for work! Like with chiffon and a Mary Magdalene style. Yes.

• About your brand: When did you create it? What was the reason of the creation? Why did you choose this name?

I have always enjoyed drawing and because of that I joined art web pages like deviantart and so on. So my hobby just became my work <3 My name is an abbreviation for “coffee is here”. Because I loved coffee more than anything, but now I can’t drink it because of my liver. I like how it became ironic.

• What are your inspiration to create?

I try to find it everywhere, from mundane things from where I live to awesome things I find when traveling. I believe inspiration can be everywhere you just have to look close. Also I have an inspiration tumblr where I post beautiful things. (mitonable.tumblr.com)

• What are your expectations for your brand? Your aim or wishes?

 Right now I have so many wishes. I wish I can become a better textile artist for Lolita fashion, a better concept artist, to be a mangaka and to be a better artist in general. I hope I can accomplish all of them. Related to Lolita right now I’m working on my own prints to sell on spoonflower but I also want to work for more designers, I love to experiment with styles and themes so working for different brands really excites me! Also do more illustrations maybe for a magazine or a Lolita blog, so many options! I have a lot of work to do <3

 

• How do you create? From design to sale? How much time do you need to create your items?

Well I do tons of sketches from ideas that just pop out of my head. Then some of them survive to be colored. When is an illustration for me usually a complete one takes around 6 hours. When is a commission it takes longer, some cases a month or so depending of the complexity of the work and the feedback with the customer.

• What is your next event (as a Lolita? As a creator?): Convention? Festival? Show? Tea party? Others?

I hope I can go to the next comic and anime convention, concomics, in December here in my city .Presenting a manga I’m reviving from the ashes with a friend of mine. The manga is called Cappuccino and is really fun!

• A last word for the Lolitas of this event?

Have fun and don’t be mean to others, you can use that energy for something better. And thanks for reading my interview and I hope you enjoyed my works <3
